Thank you for stopping by!

Cody Joe Hodges’ music has been influenced by some of the country greats of the late 70’s and 80’s. Cody Joe's voice ranges from silky smooth to raspy seduction.  He and his band always thrill, putting on a high-energy performance at every show. It is rare that you will find someone that reaches across the aisle to both the old and new generations, but Cody Joe Hodges does it every time.  His sound is something out of the past, and his writing style of the here and now.
He started playing music at an early age, but it wasn’t until his senior year in high school that Cody Joe became serious about his art and wrote his first song, “Daddy’s Dream”, his freshman year in the dorms at Texas A&M University.

Ft. Leonardwood, MO - During basic training, Hodges sat in with a church band on Sundays.
Ft. Huachuca, AZ - he was in the house band for the Chaplain of the 309th MI Batallion.  With that adventure, the Chaplain entered Hodges in a post-wide talent search, Hodges placed third.
Ft. Carson, Colorado - Hodges was discovered to join the group "Harmony in Motion" while collaborating with a homeless man on a street corner in Colorado Springs, CO.  "Harmony in Motion" was a vocal ensemble of Division West, Fort Carson, Colorado.  After auditioning with The Star Spangled Banner and an original tune, "Daddy's Dream", they extended an offer to join them.  Hodges accepted and began traveling with the Army, entertaining large venues to private military events alongside of some of the most talented musicians and entertainers in the Army.

Upon discharge, Larry Hodges (a veteran power lineman and Cody Joe's Dad) had a talk with him about a career in the power line business (as a lineman) and he joined the energy field in 2010.  At the same time, still pursuing music, he started a band.  Calling themselves “The Linemen”, they teamed up with legendary Hall of Fame Pedal Steel Guitist - Producer, Steve Palousek and came out with an album as a band in 2012.
